Why Islam’s Rules on Adultery Make No Sense
Introduction
Islamic law is brutal. We all know that. But why is Islam this way? I’m going to show you that this isn’t the product of divine wisdom, but rather the clunky thought process of a 7th century man who did things for his own benefit. This topic was one of the very first videos I did on the Abdullah Sameer channel back in 2016.
And it’s also one of the ones I wanted to make again, because it felt so important and shows you so clearly just how messed up Islamic law is. My goal in this video is to show you the absurdity of Islam, and the punishment for adultery, stoning, will show you exactly that.
You have to ask, why is adultery so bad that you have to be stoned to death? The Muslim answer might be that adultery breaks up and destroys the family unit. That it causes a lot of pain, and that you can bring diseases into the family. These are all good points, and adultery is for sure not a good thing. It creates chaos in the social order. But is it that bad that it deserves such a violent execution? NO. Absolutely not. There are far better ways, which I’m going to discuss now.
